Vacation with the parents was great. We stayed at some really nice places and ate some really good food. I don’t think my parents understand  how I eat in Lesotho… beans, eggs, rice and bread. So looks at me like I was crazy while I savored every meal. My parents thought Lesotho was beautiful, but I could tell it was not their top choice for a vacation destination.

I have been struggling to get along with certain co-worker. Simply put, I just don’t trust this person anymore and no longer want to call them my friend. I know that sounds sketch, but I have told the story a million times already and its not something I need to post on the world wide web.

Winter is coming and I couldn’t be happier about it. I wake up to a chilly house which does nothing but put a smile on my face. I love that I can wear sweaters and scarves again. Although it is weird that the sun sets at 6pm now and will only start setting even earlier. Gotta love electricity.

The only interesting story I can think of isn’t really funny, but when it happened it cheered me up at a time when I was feeling a bit negative toward Lesotho. I was walking to town when I came to find the donga I normally cross flowing with water (its normally empty). I stood there for a minute trying to decide how I would cross it without soaking my chucks when I guy, about my age, came up behind me looking to cross as well. I told him he could go ahead so I could finish plotting. He effortlessly jumped across the water then turned around and held out his hand to help me cross. I accepted and made it across with dry chucks. Then I’m thinking ‘great, now he is gonna want to walk the rest of the way to town asking endless questions about where I’m from, where I’m going, will you buy me sweets, etc.’ But then he looked at me and said “ok, see you” and walked on ahead. I couldn’t believe it. No joke, it put me in a good mood for the rest of the week.
