CBT

HI! I have very limited access to internet. All of us volunteers are split into 3 villages (my village is the best). I have a host mom, 2 sisters who are 13 & 8, and also a 1 yr old brother. I love them! I don’t have electricity or running water, as expected. So I take bucket baths. I pee in buckets at night because it is too cold and dark to go in my pit latrine. I use a kerosene lamp and candles at night. I did just get a cell phone though! I feel like a human again, isn’t that sad? Anyway, If you would like to call me then get in touch with my parents or with Luci to find out how.
Learning Sesotho is going better than I thought. The sentence structure is very similar to english, which is nice. But it is a little hard to remember the vocab, compared to say spanish or french where the words are very similar to english.
I love all the other volunteers so far. We all get along really well. Expecially the volunteers that live in my village with me. There are 10 of us and we take turns cooking for each other everynight and play cards and such.
This weekend all of us trainees are visiting current volunteers for 5 days to see what their projects are and how their village life is. I’m looking forward to it!
I miss you all! I hope I can post again soon!
CBT is a great period for bonding.. enjoy it while it lasts. I know that I’m missing it 6 months into my service.
MISS YOU!!
hope all is going well!
I love that you pee in a bucket. I wish I were there to knock you over when you were trying to balance. Love you
