Below is a link to a website that talks a little bit about the Sesotho Language. Basotho roll their R’s and the letter Q is a clicking sound. You can listen to a few phrases on the website. Needless to say, I’m gonna have my work cut out for me.
i lived there for six years and i never got the accent right. as one of my students said, “i can hear that you’re speaking sesotho, but i can’t understand a word you’re saying!”
Yeah we absolutely have our work cut out for us. I don’t know if you have a ipod touch but if you do there is an app for sesotho. Its really great! Its been teaching me alot. I totally recommend it.
PS. I think we will all get along too, I was just playing around when I say I’m going to judge you all. I think that having a common goal will insure that we all become really close friends…unless your really annoying…
